Description
Entrepreneurship, among the many economic sciences, is in its essence a microeconomic academic discipline, representing a system of economic knowledge about the building, launching, development, restructuring, and management of business organizations and enterprises.
The forming and the mastering of economic knowledge about the firm leads to the fulfillment of one of the principal functions and aims of this academic discipline — the cognitive one, that is, the widening of the scientific economic outlook of those who are taught. The realization of this aim will further lead to qualitative changes in management, and to a rise in the efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises.
The structure and the logic reflected in the contents of the textbook, together with the principal methods for studying entrepreneurship, are determined by the aims set out above, by the traditions of teaching, and by the new elements in the dynamics of contemporary business organizations and enterprises. Whether these aims have been achieved will be answered by the competent opinion of the Reader, whom the authors hold in esteem.
