It’s just that not everyone has the nerve to tell them, let alone tell them so that they’re funny. And that is what I have been doing for as long as I can remember.
“Mishmashology” is a collection of 45 funny stories, most of them stamped “don’t try this at home” and “get your popcorn ready.” My mother likes to say that at times I bring these funny stories on myself. I would say that they find me on their own, and in this book you will find them.
And why is the title so wacky? Because when you cross a philologist with a culturologist, add a generous measure of photography, and finish with prose to taste, you get a mishmash of ideas, opinions and points of view. Such is the book too, full of disparate stories, every one of them taken from real life and funny enough to make you cry.
So fasten your seat belts on the roller coaster (*which in some cases was a horror ride for the author) and enjoy the adventure!
