Meaning and Knowledge

In this book I reflect on the technological dimensions of human freedom as a consequence of the emergence, the development, and the contemporary incarnations of instrumental (technical) reason in every sphere of social being. The evolution of reason, which is taken to be an instrument of the subject, manifests itself as an organizing principle, but at the same time as a repressive and dehumanizing one. Tracing the genealogy of this particular relation to the world is important, because we are its direct heirs.
